Cagayan province was swamped with floodwaters due to rainfall caused by Typhoon Ulysses. People are crying for help and rescue. Some families with their children are now sleeping on the top of their roofs.

More than 47,000 residents are now severely affected by floods caused by the monsoon rains and typhoon Ulysses said Col. Ascio Macalan of Cagayan PDRRMO.

People are now advised that Magat Dam is now nearing in its ‘spilling level’ which is 193 meters and they are now warned to be prepared.

In Tuguegarao City, water at Buntun Bridge already reached 13 meters, according to the provincial government of Cagayan.

Boats cannot handle the current of water anymore and they need an earial transpo to rescue those people who are trapped in their houses. People are also cries for Meralco to temporarily shutdown the remaining electricity in the whole Cagayan Province. They are dying because of flood waters with voltage of current along with it. Dead bodies are now floating everywhere.
