“Opo I’m confirming to you that this is our last show. Mula April 12 wala na po kayong mapapanood na The Buzz.”
This was stated by co-host Boy Abunda last April 5. The TV show will temporarily go off-air and sadly bids goodbye to all their supporters and Sunday viewers.
The King of Talk confessed that a part of him ‘died today’ and admitted that at first he was in denial about the show’s finale.
“Hindi po ako magkukunwari na okay ako. Hindi po ako magkukunwari na hindi ako nasasaktan. Hindi ako magkukunwari na I am not hurting, that I am not bleeding inside because I am. It’s very painful dahil naging karelasyon po namin kayo for 16 years, ang live audience, ang mga taong nasa kanilang tahanan and ang ating audiences around the world through The Filipino Channel we’ve been together for a long time. Pero ‘yung decision po na mawala muna pansamantala sa ere ang The Buzz ay isang decision na kailangan at tama,” He said.
The show is going off-air due to development and the need to “adapt of changes” but despite of the sad announcement the ‘The Buzz’ will surely be back on air more stronger.

According to Him the showbiz news is here to stay. They may come back individually or as a group, they don’t know but the showbiz talk show genre will not die. It will continue and they will come back. They agreed to stop the show as it is the best way but they will come back stronger and in the best way they can be.
