Bangko Sentral Ng Sentra “BSP” currently released 5,000 php bank note which features the first ever legendary Filipino hero “Lapu-Lapu”.
Lapu-Lapu is a Cebu native who valiantly fight against the Spaniards colonizers and slain Ferdinand Magellan in the Battle Of Mactan, he is also dubbed as the first mightiest warrior of his generation, despite overpowered his troops succeed against the foreign invaders.
The post becomes viral in Facebook and receives multiple comments and praise in social media.
According to reports the news bank note will commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Mactan that is credited to Lapu-Lapu.
BSP Deputy Governor Francisco Dakila he detailed the appearance of the money wherein in front will be the face of Lapu-Lapu and at the back you can see the Philippine Eagle “Haribon” and Mt. Apo the tallest mountain in the country also includes a coconut tree.
