Weather update: PAGASA weather bureau announced around 2:00 AM in the morning, January 8, 2021 Friday as they forecasted Low Pressure Area (LPA) estimated 275 km East Southeast of Davao City

According to PAGASA, the eyed LPA is less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours

Meanwhile, the combined effect of LPA and Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring moderate with at times heavy rains in areas of

  • CARAGA
  • BARMM
  • SOCCSKSARGEN

Scattered light to moderate rains will be experienced in areas of

  • Mindanao
  • Eastern section of Visayas

PAGASA also warns the public for possible flooding and rain induced landslides which may occur during heavy periods of rainfall, most especially in areas that are identified to be highly susceptible to these hazards

Public and disaster risk reduction and management offices send advised for locals to take appropriate and precautionary measures during this inevitable weather condition
