Weather Update-PAGASA weather bureau releases an updated report around 9:00 am in the morning January 9, 2021 as they spotted Low Pressure Area (LPA) estimated 60 km East Northeast of Maasin City, Southern Leyte
According to PAGASA the spotted LPA has less possibility to develop into a tropical depression in the next 48 hours
But the combined effects of the Low Pressure Area and Tail End of Frontal System will bring moderate to heavy rains in areas of
- Camarines Sur
- Catanduanes
- Albay
- Sorsogon
- Masbate
- Northern Samar
- Samar
- Eastern Samar
Light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be experienced in areas of
- Bicol Region
- Visayas
- Palawan
- Cuyo
- Cagayancillo Islands
Meanwhile, PAGASA advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flooding and rain induced landslides which may occur during heavy periods of rainfall, most especially in areas identified to be highly susceptible to these hazards that recently received heavy rainfall for past couple of days or weeks
The Public and Risk Reduction and Management Offices are also send notice to the public to always take safety and appropriate measures during this inevitable weather condition
