Exclusive: DOH Confirms 1st Patient Died Of UK COVID-19 Variant In PH

Philippines, Department Of Health (DOH) recently confirmed the first ever patient died of UK COVID-19 variant in the country.

COVID-19 really devastated the health and economic status of 200 nations around the world which creates a heavy punch of the daily lives of every people like the new normal thing and tight restriction of public movement.

Even schools and other gatherings are strictly prohibited.

The world was surprised because a new mutated strain of COVID-19 virus appeared first in United Kingdom and fast spread in the country, even though vaccines are finally formulated but this new strain of virus caught them off guard.

According to studies it is normal for virus to mutate but other research stated the new virus is more deadly compared to the original this claim is yet to be proven.

DOH Under Sec. Rosario Vergerie in her press conference she confirmed the first patient was a native of La Trinidad Benguet aged around 84 years old and travelled to UK died in the 3rd or 4rth week of January.

Meanwhile Philippines imposed tight restrictions of travelers goings inside the country especially in United Kingdom.

Again people are advise to follow DOH protocols to avoid the widespread of the virus.
