Tropical Depression Agaton (Megi) has made 2nd landfall on Monday afternoon over Basey, Samar.

At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression “AGATON” [MEGI] was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Marabut, Samar (11.2°N, 125.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 60 km/h. It is almost stationary.

Eastern Visayas, Cebu, and Bohol will have rains with gusty winds; The rest of the Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to TD Agaton. Moderate to strong winds from Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the Visayas, and from East to Northeast will prevail over Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro with moderate to rough seas.
