Pen Medina, one of the veterans in the film industry, is currently hospitalized due to Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) as posted by his son, Ping Medina, on July 17, 2022.

According to Ping’s post, he is scheduled for major spine surgery on Tuesday, July 19. Pen Medina became famous after getting the role of “Hagorn” in the 2005 television fantasy series Encantadia.

Pen Medina is now 71 years old and is married to Victoria Aquino Chupungco.

The actor’s son, Ping Medina, asked for financial help from the media to sustain the actor’s needs for his current situation. “We humbly appeal for your charitable help and prayers as our family navigates through helping him get back on his feet – literally and figuratively,” Ping quoted.
