Weightlifting champion, Hidilyn Diaz, gets married exactly a year after winning the Olympic gold medal. In her Instagram, Diaz can be seen wearing a beautiful strapless white wedding dress as she stands beside her groom, Julius Naranjo, for their welcome party that was held ahead of time.

On her recent post, she captioned, “Today marks the first anniversary of our winning the Gold medal in the @olympics for the Philippines. 🇵🇭. And today also will be a memorable day for @imjulius and me, we will get married today.”

On her interview with Karen Davila, she said that she chooses marriage over career.

“If I win again in Paris, then good, but I choose marriage because this is someone who you’re going to be with until you grow old.” Diaz stated.

“It is hard to find the one who can understand you. I can say that is something that I need to care for and value.” She added.
