“Frozen Sells” 2Million Albums Worldwide In 10 Weeks

Disney Animated Film “Frozen” sells 2 million albums worldwide for just 10 weeks and top billboard hitchart. The said album dominated Billboard Top 200 on Wednesday.

downloadFrozen led by its Oscar Winning Song “Let it Go” performed by Idina Menzel sold 133,000 copies on its 20th week and still counting  this is according to Nielsen Sound Scan.

This figures actually shows its reign on the billboards for 10 consecutive weeks prior to its releasing date on November 2013.

Nielsen Sound Scan begins tracking albums in 1991 and also reveals that not only Frozen have the capability in topping the charts but also the official soundtrack of “Lion King” which tops the Billboard for almost 10 weeks in 1994.

The said films was also considered highest earners as it almost gains $1 Million mark. Even though the said soundtrack dominated the Billboard chart still outsold’s the no.2 in the chart.

Pharrell’s hit song “Happy” also topped the digital songs chart with 257,000 downloads over the past week, bringing its total sales of more than 4.2 million.

The said animated film is considered to be a hit around the globe specifically in Korea where in it almost earns millions of dollars prior to its releasing date.

It is remembered that Oscar Winning song “Let it Go” is composed by a Filipino composer with versions of Demi Lovato and Idina Menzel.
