WEATHER ALERT! SIGNAL NUMBER ONE IN SOME AREAS IN THE PHILIPPINES ACCORDING TO PAGASA “TYPHOON QUEENIE”

According to PAG-ASA and ABS-CBN News, “Queenie” a tropical depression has  maintained its strength as it continues its way across in the southern Visayas area. PAGASA stated that ‘QUEENIE’ was located last in the vicinity of Bohol, Tagbiliran City with a maximum sustained winds of 55 Kilometer Per hour near its eye or center. It is forecast to move in the west northwest direction at the speed of 24 Kilometers per hour.

In the region of Central/Western Visayas and Northern Mindanao and the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte and Palawan will have gusty winds and rains. While in the Bicol region, and the rest of Mindanao and Visayas and other provinces of Marinduque, Mindoro and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with thunderstorms and moderate rainshowers. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with thunderstorms and isolated rainshowers.

There will be also moderate and strong winds blowing from the northeast over Luzon and Visayas and from the Northeast to north over Mindanao from moderate to rough seas. This news is according to PAGASA.

Zamboanga del Norte.
