Time Magazine currently chooses Pope Francis as an outstanding person this year 2013. It is believe that the current pope change the perception of many individuals about the Roman Catholic System in Vatican for a short span of time. Another contender for the title is NSA Leader Edward Showden but the magazine gives the acknowledgement to the pope due to his perseverance and distinct characteristics.

Pope Francis advocacy is to urged the Catholic Church not to focus their mind into a small problems and to be open minded in some touchy issues with regards to gay, abortion and contraception.

He criticize the world’s focus mainly on money and global scandal. He regards that many people are hungry today and inspired the public in his simple ways and sense of humor.

Time Magazine Managing Director Nancy Gibbs  quoted “”He really stood out to us as someone who has changed the tone and the perception and the focus of one of the world’s largest institutions in an extraordinary way”.

The Vatican Spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi tells the press that honor is nothing but the main purpose is to spread the Gospel ” The Good News of God to People”.

It is the third time that the magazine selected three popes namely Pope John Paul II and John XXIII.
