Actor Raymart Santiago is now facing a physical abuse case filed by his ex-wife Claudine Barreto. Few moments ago Raymart’s camp took a stand saying that the actor is innocent with regards to physical maltreatment case filed by Claudine.

According to Marikina Prosecutor’s office that the said actor has a probable cause of violating R.A. 9262 or “Violence Against and Children Act”

Atty.Ruth Castelo legal counsel of Santiago found some unconvincing statement with regards to the filed resolution wherein the issues of physical abuse are not clearly stated.

Castelo noted “Among the many incidents of alleged abuses filed by Ms. Barretto against Mr Santiago, the Marikina Prosecutor’s Office found probable cause to indict the latter on two counts of physical abuse.

“The resolution, however, failed to state which particular incidents constituted the same.

“Curiously, this resolution contains findings of fact in favor of Mr. Santiago until the last paragraph that says he is being charged for physical abuse on two (2) counts,”

Also the said attorney is disappointed about the action of prosecution by trashing all the evidences submitted by Santiago to nullify her claims that he was harassed by the actor.

By this event Raymart is now planning to file a motion for reconsideration because the said testimonies of witness are being disregarded by the court, this statement could possibly give credit to Mr. Santiago to prove his innocence.

Castelo added “Nevertheless, we are resolved in having this accusation dismissed for being just one of the countless untruths told about Mr. Santiago.”

It is remembered that Claudine file VAMC to his former husband last August 2013.
