China Bans Microsoft Window 8 As Their Government Operating System (OS)

China bans Microsoft Windows 8 as their official government operating system. This is considered a blow to the US based Programming company that is dominating in terms of sales in the said country.

windowsThe Central Procurement Center issued a notice to ban the use of the said program for the purpose of energy saving this advisory was posted in their website last week. The government really encourage to use energy saving products that why they decided to prohibit MS Windows 8 in their country.

One of the official in XinXhua released a statement that this step is for security purposes because Microsoft has ended their support for Windows XP which is the most used operating system in China.

Meanwhile the officials in China does not further more elaborate about the reasons for security purposes and for energy saving issue.

Accoring to Microsoft former CEO Steve Ballmer, it is hard for them to marketing the said program in China compared to Netherlands and other countries in the globe.

There is no official statement released by Microsoft. But it is confirmed that they ended their support for Windows XP to encourage and adopt its newest upgrade for more efficient and secure program.

But its disadvantage is that Windows XP users are vulnerable to viruses and potential hackers.
