Former janitor and designer assistant Avel Bacudio shares his inspiring rags to riches story in the latest ABS-CBN My Puhunan show hosted by Karen Davila.

Before making a mark in the fashion industry, he shared his inspirational story and struggles to be one of Asia’s top calibre fashion artist.

Currently he was named as Mercedez Benz Most Influential Designer of the Year, Avel was a Camarines Sur native and the second eldest of 10 children his parents is just a normal labourer. He decided to find his luck in Manila and happens to be a janitor also worked as a baby sitter for his nephews, he also serve as a designer assistant wherein his main line of job is to serve coffee.

Considering without a proper training in the field of fashion designing still Avel pursue his dream to be one of the world top apparel designer for him he just use his “Guts” and creative mind in designing. As of now his work gains recognition in the Philippines, New York, Tokyo, Paris and Millan.

His designs were also weared by famous artist here and abroad.

Mr. Bacudio welcomes the host to witness his new condo unit and new design to be featured in Canada. As a return favour from blessings he received, he is now helping an aspiring rookie designer to reach his dream to known in the world.
