Romantic Drama movie “The Fault in Our Stars” dethrones the action pact film “Edge of Tomorrow” at the fight for the no.1 spot in the US Box Office.

The said romantic movie earned $48.2 million compared to the “Edge of Tomorrow” which only grosses $29.1 million, almost $20 million difference of earning prior to its showing date on theaters in US.

Amazingly when it comes to budget “Fault” only uses $12 million compared to Tom Cruise’s “Edge” that almost consumed $175 million.

According to movie analyst there is a shocking results when it comes to shifting box office trends, considering the fact that the action pact movie is leaded by the famous Hollywood actor Tom Cruise compared to the rising star Shailene Woodley. Maybe the difference between the two movies is the type of viewers especially now dominated by ignited young female moviegoers.

Paul Dergarabedian, senior analyst for box-office tracker Rentrak noted that younger generation’s movie fanatics contribute a lot to make your newest film earn more. He also added that this group of people are being courted and coveted by Hollywood for almost a Decade.

“The Fault In Our Stars” is the bestselling novel created by John Green. But in contrast with “Hunger Games” and “Twilight” which focuses mainly on science fiction, “Fault” is more realistic drama in nature.
