In South Africa, a trophy hunter Scott van Zyl went missing while on a hunt in Zimbabwe. He is known for organizing hunting trips for foreign clients, and it is believed that he was eaten by crocodiles on the bank of the Limpopo River.
He was accompanied by a pack of dogs and a Zimbabwean tracker but the pair took the opposite directions into the bush. The dogs returned to their camp without him (van Zyl), who had left his belongings inside the vehicle. Rescue teams quickly responds as well as helicopters, trackers and divers to find him.
His tracks and his back pack was seen in the bank of the river. According to Sakkie Louwrens a member of the search team, the police suspected that two Nile crocodiles may have eaten the hunter.
“We found what could possibly be human remains in them,” he told The Telegraph. Forensic experts were now testing whether or not the remains belong to the hunter.
According to his website SS Pro Safaris, he completed numerous hunts. His targets are, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards, antelopes and other endangered species. There’s also a record of same incident in Southern Zimbabwe of people being eaten by crocodiles.
