The American Supernatural Drama Television Series “The Vampire Diaries”  with the leading lady, Nina Dobrev has quit the show.

Since 2009 the 26 year old actress has been playing the show with her ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. However she posted in her Instagram that she enjoyed her farewell and “goodbye party” with her fellow cast and team in Georgia’s Lake Lanier celebrated on Easter Holiday.

She said that she wanted to be the first one who will tell that it wasn’t just a holiday celebration but a goodbye party. She added to her TVD Family  “I always knew I wanted Elena’s story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime.”

“I was a human, a vampire, a doppelganger, a crazy immortal, a doppelganger pretending to be human, a human pretending to be a doppelganger. I got kidnapped, killed, resurrected, tortured, cursed, body-snatched, was dead and undead, and there’s still so much more to come before the season finale in May.

“Elena fell in love not once, but twice, with two epic soulmates, and I myself made some of the best friends I’ll ever know and built an extended family I will love forever.”

In the SELF Magazine’s June Issue there is a documented interview of Nina’s final season. But then, she is still encouraging her fans to still watch and join her to celebrate Elena Gilbert’s roller coaster life in The Vampire Diaries and as she bids goodbye to her, to her work family and as she will move on to her next chapter in life.

She also posted her photo hugging her creator and pair which makes a happy snap, Julie Plec.

“I want to share this goodbye with all of you (this weekend’s pictures were just the beginning),” she continued. “You, the wonderful fandom who gave more love, support and passion than anyone could have ever imagined seven years ago, when a young Degrassi girl from Canada showed up in LA to audition for ‘that Twilight TV show.’ 😉 I love you all. Fasten your seatbelts. If you think you know what’s coming, you don’t.”

We will watch Nina’s finale season on May 14. Why Nina Dobrev Quits in The Vampire Diaries, video above.
