World’s Oldest Person Gertrude Weaver Dies at 116

The world’s chronicle and known oldest documented person in the whole world namely Gertrude Weaver just passed away, Monday in Arkansas.

After the death of the 117 year old Japanese woman last week- Weaver became the oldest person as her record was kept by the Los Angeles-based on Gerontology Research Group. Weaver was born in 1898 in Southwest Arkansas to a sharecropper parents.  She died 10 a.m, Monday at the Silver Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center in Camden, about 100 miles southwest of Little Rock confirmed by The Williams Funeral Home.

“She was a really sweet lady. She was relatively perky and coherent when I talked with her before the party,”

Camden Mayor Marie Trisollinni said, as she talked with Weaver last week when she attended the 100th birthday party of Weaver’s super centenarian roommate.

“When you asked for advice on how to live a long life she would say, “‘Use a lot of skin moisturizer, treat everyone nice, love your neighbor and eat your own cooking. Don’t eat at fast food places.” Trisollini added.

The Research Group was capable to confirm Weaver’s age using census records and her marriage certificate which stated that she is 17 years of age when she got married. Her birthday was pointed out to be on April but was not confirmed, but the group used to celebrate it every July 4, as Weaver used too.

The nursing home, community and other members including Mayor Trisollini had been working out and making plans for Weaver’s 117th birthday party.

However, before Weaver’s remaining days she told the nursing home worker that she wanted to meet President Barack Obama because she had voted for him two times. Condolence to the World’s Oldest Person Gertrude Weaver Dies at 116.
