Student who cannot afford CRAYONS went viral on social media!

This COVID19 pandemic have drastically affected everyone on the society, may it be professionals, business owners, big and small companies, and even students nowadays. As the number of COVID19 cases have skyrocketed in every countries with thousands of affected and number of deaths forecasted every single day, it is expected that the normal activities often done prior to the pandemic will change especially to the students.

With the new mandate of the government that the new normal is going to be practice, the method of learning used to make sure students won’t get behind this year is done through online classes which also challenges most students in the Philippines especially those in the rural areas and parents who cannot afford giving their children enough access to online such as internet and smartphones and a whole lot more of requirements such as, pen, paper, coloring tools and more.

One of the concerned teachers Verchel Castillo who’s Facebook post went viral, posted his students artwork which requires coloring materials to complete the activity wasn’t able to do so because of lack of materials.

He qouted, “This work from one of my students caught my attention. “Sir wala po akong pambili ng krayola sorry po.” Don’t be sorry, nak. I understand you. Here’s a box of crayons for you. Keep up the good work! See you when this pandemic finally ends. God bless and stay safe.😇Para sa bawat estudyante, isang mahigpit na yakap. Kapit lang. Laban lang. Tuloy lang. Magkikita kita muli tayo. Know that your efforts are valid and appreciated. Kahit na at kahit pa. ❤”.

The said post garnered 129K likes, 2.3K comments and 56K shares touching the heart of the netizens. On Mr Castillo’s latest post he have started a fund raising campaign for Project Crayola.
